Our community grows and thrives when all people have the opportunity to participate in democracy and have their voices heard as policy is crafted. Structural inequalities and the disproportionate influence of some in power has led many individuals to see government as a broken system not there to represent them. By supporting progressive policy development and providing democracy education and civic empowerment programs to organizations and communities, I want to help residents of Colorado seize equal access to the halls of democratic policy-making and institutions of justice for themselves and the next generation.
