Peg Perl, Principal
Peg Perl has focused her career on strengthening and modernizing our institutions of democracy. She helps government officials and nonprofit organizations design and implement modern reforms in money in politics, elections administration and voting rights, government ethics, and open records at the state and local level.
Named one of the Top Women Attorneys by Law Week Colorado, Peg has 20 years of legal and government experience and recently ran for office as a 2019 candidate for Denver Clerk & Recorder.
Previously, Peg served as Senior Counsel for Colorado Ethics Watch, nonpartisan counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Ethics Committee, and as a policy attorney with the Federal Election Commission.
For over 5 years, Peg directed the Courts Matter Colorado coalition of progressive organizations focused on public education and advocacy about federal court decisions and judicial vacancies in Colorado.
Peg earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Arizona State University. She volunteers on the Board of the Women’s Lobby of Colorado where she advocates for gender equity and policies supporting women and families. Peg also teaches courses on law and advocacy at the University of Denver.
